The most important component of either route is the quality of the applicant’s senior or executive leadership roles. The Peer Assessment Panel is looking for impact across the health care system at multiple levels.
The Canadian Society of Physician Leaders strongly recommends that all physician leaders applying for the CCPE credential become informed about and committed to advancing the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action.
Can you answer YES to most of these questions?
- Do you have a minimum 5 to 10 years of cumulative and progressive leadership experiencein health care? experience in health care?
- Does your experience include progressive physician management/ leadership education (including applicable ongoing CPD credits)?
- Are you familiar with the leadership capabilities found in the LEADS in a Caring Environment capabilities framework?
- Do you have a passion for leadership and see its value in health care transformation?
- Do you influence change in your organization/institution at the systems level?
- Do you have a cache of leadership accomplishments and experience at many levels, ie, local, provincial, national and systems levels?
